ADOBE MUD PAVILION, Luxor
Under the title “Crazy Follies”, Profs. Charles O. Job, Axel Gampp, Ueli Baierlipp led a summer school of students from the Berne University of Applied Sciences to Luxor in Egypt. The students learnt to design and build a small garden pavilion with sun dried mud bricks. The arches are constructed without any timber formwork as is the tradition of the Nubians of northern Egypt.
