AFRICA PAVILION
On the occasion of the Designing the World, Salone Satellite 2010 exhibition, five International designers from five continents, were invited to design five Spaces representing their respective continents.
The African Pavilion was designed as a clay walled compound. The compound, analogous to a family gathering consisted of a long continuous bench in all the colours of the flags and people of the great continent that is AFRICA. Clay has been part of 9000 years of building history, worldwide, and is therefore our continent’s link to the world.
