DIV

DIV combines a room divider and a shelf, in one object. The horizontal shelves for storage, the vertical elements as partitions. The vertical partitions are slanted, all towards the same vanishing point, rendering the structure either relatively open or relatively closed, depending the viewer’s viewpoint.

„DIV“ was  awarded an „outstanding project“ commendation, in the Asahikawa International Furniture Design Competition in Japan 2008. It was one of 17 finalist entries in a field of 1,085 designs from 50 countries.
